Hello, I am Brett Pigon, a long-time painter but largely self -taught for many years as I worked a successful engineering career.  But I kept working at it until my time permitted me to join The Art Students Guild of Brevard in Melbourne, Florida, where for the last 15 years I have developed my portraiture skills, and then in the last few years, painting outdoors pleinair.  I love the challenge of painting from life, whether portrait or outdoor scene.  Pleinair, my focus is generally the beautiful nature around me in Florida, but as I visit other areas, I bring my kit and paint there, too.  Having trained for portraiture in a live model limited time period session, the drawing skills translate, as does the time management skills, to outdoors and so I tend to paint a more ambitious scene than most.  I have a love/hate relationship with the "green monster" of a Florida landscape, particularly in summer, but I revel in the challenge of the capture of the colors and impresssions of the scene.  I work to find the engaging composition, and I hope that you agree.  I have a lot of paintings to share, and it will take me awhile to fully populate my site, but I hope that you enjoy and come back again.  You can email me directly at artistbrettpigon@gmail.com.
